Chef Recommends

  • If you have unsalted Boondi then keep them in luke warm salted water for five minutes before preparing Boondi Raita. This will ensure that Boondis will soak well and become slightly salted. After 5 mins, drain salted water and press them gently to rinse soaked water from Boondis. Now add them to yogurt and mix all ingredients.
  • If the Yogurt is too sour then you can add a little sugar while making it. Also, if you prefer sweet Boondi Raita then you can add Sugar instead of Rock Salt or add just a little bit of it to get that extra flavour.
  • In case you have used salted Boondi, and have not soaked them already in water then you would need to add some water as Boondis will soak water and grow in size.
