Mojito is a cocktail that consists of five ingredients: white rum, sugar (traditionally sugar cane juice), lime juice, soda water, and fresh mint.
It is a quick and simple cocktail drink which is widely popular across the world. Mojito is a traditional Cuban highball.

Mojito – How to mix
Take 1/2 Fresh lime and cut it into 4 pieces.
Put these pieces in a Highball glass and then add Sugar to it. Use the Muddler to release the lime juice.
Do not press too hard else it will release too much bitterness of lime.
Just few gentle presses should do the work.
Now take 6 – 7 fresh mint leaves in your palm and clap to bruise the leaves. This helps release Mint leaves aroma.
Now put them into the glass and gently squeeze with the Muddler.
Again, Don’t press too much. Now add Rum to it.
Crush the ice cubes using a blender into small and medium pieces.
Do not fine crush them. Add crushed ice to the glass and fill it to half.

Now pour Soda water to fill the glass and add some ice cubes on top.
Garnish by placing a sprig of Fresh mint on top to serve.
Recommendation
- Do not press lime and fresh mints too much else it will make the cocktail bitter
- Add enough of crushed ice to the drink.
- You can also rub a little bit on the outer rim of the glass with a mint just before serving. This will give that mint aroma to the drink

Notes
- Do not crush lime and mint too much else it will release a bitter taste which might not be good.
