Making Pineapple Raita At Home

Pineapple is a great fruit however some people are allergic to it, hence be careful if your guests are prone to allergy. Due to certain enzymes present in Pineapple some people feel mild numbness or sharp taste in their tongue after eating it. In most cases this is not a problem, but if it is an issue, please either do not eat it or try keeping freshly chopped Pineapple pieces in salt water for sometime before making the dish. This should remove the enzymes to large extent but still be careful.
Allergy Advice โ Pineapple is a great fruit but it can cause allergy reaction in some people due to the presence of certain enzymes such as – Bromelain which causes sharp irritable sensation in tongue after eating it. Try keeping Pineapple pieces in Salt water to remove enzymes.
Preparation Of Pineapple Raita
Peel outer layer or skin of Pineapple and cut it into small pieces. Remove core or stem part of Pineapple while cutting pieces as it is too hard.
Take a bowl of water and add 1/4 tsp salt in it. Now soak Pineapple pieces in the Salt water bowl for 10-15 Min.
Make Pineapple Raita
Take Natural Yogurt in a large bowl. Add 1/8 cup water in it and mix it well.
Now drain the Salt water from Pineapple pieces. Add Pineapple pieces, Cinnamon powder and sugar to the Yogurt. Mix it well.
Your Pineapple Raita is now ready to be served. While serving you can sprinkle a pinch of Cinnamon Powder on top of it to give it the required texture.
